Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure. This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. The Systems Engineer I (Data Protection) needs a strong understanding of core data protection processes.  Basic understanding of other core IT concepts: storage, networking, security, guest operating systems, and general troubleshooting skills is required.

Required Qualifications

•            Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position

•            Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

•            IS/IT related Bachelor's degree or 1+ year of experience working with servers, network, storage, or security.

•            1+ year Data Protection (ex. Cohesity, Veritas, Commvault, Veeam), troubleshooting, and support experience.

•            Automation thru scripting with PowerShell.

•            An understanding of ITIL – Service Operations framework. 

Preferred Qualifications

•            1+ year Experience with Veritas Netbackup and/or Cohesity DataProtect

•            Familiarity with protecting Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle (RAC) databases

•            Familiarity with Linux and Microsoft Server security troubleshooting

•            Familiarity with networking and firewall troubleshooting

•            Familiarity with HPE Blade and Rackmount Hardware Administration including OneView

•            Excellent verbal and written skills

Systems Engineer I (Data Protection) is responsible for day-to-day activities required to protect the company and client systems from data loss. The Systems Engineer I (Data Protection) is responsible for a variety of technical tasks, including creating and following processes and procedures, creating and updating documentation, and working with other engineers on team projects.  Work with clients to address data protection issues while meeting SLAs.   Respond to 24x7 on-call needs through a team on-call rotation.

US: Hiring Range: from $24.57 to $48.08 per hour; from $51,100 to $100,000 per annum. May be eligible for equity.
