School Health CNA

School Health Certified Nursing Assistant  

Full-time - 70 hours biweekly
M-F no weekends or holidays

Under the leadership and direction of an LPN and/or RN, provides health services to facilitate the student’s optimal physical, mental, emotional and social growth and development. Provides care to medically involved students. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining the school health clinic, following the individualized health care plans developed by the school RN, providing physical care for the students, maintaining a sanitary and safe environment, administer physician ordered medication and treatments, ordering supplies for your assigned health office, completing daily and monthly records, and attending student related meetings. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education - High School Diploma or GED

Experience - One year experience working in a health care setting required. 

Licensure/Certification - 

• Current certification in state of Maryland as a Certified Nursing Assistant required.
• Must obtain Certified Medication Technician in the state of Maryland within 90 days of employment.
• Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy and First Aid required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Ability to exercise professional judgment in making decisions. Ability to appropriately and effectively communicate with students, parents, administrators and other school personnel.
