About the role
W Magazine is hiring a Senior Editor, Accessories and Jewelry to cover the accessories market, work on photoshoots, mentor junior staffers and represent our brand on appointments and at industry events.
The Senior Editor will be on the fashion team working across W Magazine. This role is based in New York and will report directly to the Fashion Director.

Responsibilities
- Cover the accessories market for W Magazine - including jewelry, shoes, bags, and all misc accessories (hats, belts, sunglasses, hosiery, etc)
- Edit and request accessories for all W Magazine shoots across print and digital, work to keep stylists updated with organized boards and communication
- Work with the fashion director and photo team to execute accessories stories
- Attend market appointments and press events for respective market on behalf of the magazine Foster relationships with PR & marketing teams on behalf of the magazine
- Oversee the annual W magazine gift guide
- Contribute market stories and other accessories coverage for Wmagazine.com
- Manage, train, and work closely with the Lead Accessories
- Assistant and team of fashion fellows
- Contribute to seasonal trend reports
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in fashion editorial and publishing
- Must be able to work out of our NYC office
- Extremely organized and able to manage high volume of tasks efficiently
- Contacts in Fashion Public Relations/Marketing/Sales
- Deep knowledge of Fashion Market, designers, showrooms, etc.
- Detail oriented, a natural problem solver and a team player
