Department Overview

GTB is a key growth business within TDS that provides the opportunity to make an impact with top tier organizations.  We offer innovative solutions and treasury advisory services on large and complex liquidity, payments, and trade finance needs.  The business constantly changes with macroeconomic conditions, unprecedented levels of innovation, interest rate environments, and foreign exchange movements.  As a result, all GTB business lines continue to evolve to provide optimum trade finance, liquidity, and payment solutions to clients.

GTB is comprised of four business lines: Global Trade Finance ("GTF"), Corporate Cash Management ("CCM"), Financial Institutions ("FI"), and Export and Agency Finance ("EAF").

Position Summary

TDS has embarked on a multi-year digital transformation and expansion of GTB's product suite to position TDS as a leading North American multi-currency treasury provider, enabling significant business growth across the franchise.

The GTB Payments Product Transformation team works with a broad group of stakeholders such as Origination, Technology, Operations, Treasury, Funding, Change Delivery, Risk, etc. to deliver key strategic payment initiatives as well as provide value-added payment related subject matter expertise and input into GTB's payments product strategy.

The Vice President, US Domestic Payments, Product Transformation is a member of the GTB Product Transformation team and will report directly to the Director, GTB Payments, Product Transformation. The Vice President, US Domestic Payments will act as a catalyst and transformational change agent, bringing new US Domestic payment services to market by leading the delivery of client-centric, payment services that drive business results.

Job Responsibilities

  • Payments Transformation lead for US Domestic payments projects, championing GTB priorities and the "voice of the client" throughout the product delivery lifecycle to expand/enhance our suite of payables/receivables products, features and functionality.
  • Owns product level roadmaps, working with a broad group of stakeholders including Business Line Product Leads, Technology, Change Delivery, and other TD stakeholders to support roadmap prioritization and delivery.
  • Self-starter who stays current with the rapidly evolving payables and receivables market offerings including Fintech, Partners/Vendors and FIs.
  • Agile Product Owner/Product Manager accountabilities with firm grasp of Agile concepts and execution: product vision, roadmap, story map, user personas, user stories, manage/prioritize backlog, user flows.
  • Gather and analyse market research, client feedback, and competitive intelligence to identify market opportunities.
  • Document product scope and business requirements, working with Technology, Risk, Governance, Legal, Operations and Change Delivery to deliver new products and capabilities. 
  • Document product materials, user guides, and training materials (for both clients and internal staff) as applicable.
  • Understand all Legal, Regulatory, and Rules for relevant markets, ensuring product compliance with all relevant regulations and risk management policies.  Work with internal Risk & Compliance partners to ensure product suite meets evolving regulatory, compliance, legal, and internal policy requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or MBA with 5 – 10 years' experience in Financial Services Product Management and/or Agile Product Owner/Manager in Global Transaction Banking.
  • Experienced payments product specialist with strong knowledge of the US domestic market including ISO20022, Swift, FedWire/FedNow, ACH, CHIPS, TCH RTP, ISO 20022, Zelle, etc. and other emerging payment trends.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering payments products, features and functionalit
