The Corporate Finance team is responsible for managing Humana's pharmacy rebates invoicing system. Our team collaborates with various internal and external teams, particularly the Humana contract administration team, to accurately interpret and utilize medical and pharmacy contractual terms. These terms are then loaded into the Oracle system to facilitate monthly rebates and invoicing.

The Informaticist 2 will be working on Finance data to collate, model, interpret and analyze data to identify variances and trends. Oversees the rebates billing system, which generates invoices and accounting for Humana’s contracts with pharmaceutical manufacturers.  Serves as the liaison in responding to inquiries from Humana teams and external manufactures. The work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate course of actions. This role involves capturing and translating complex rebate contract terms into Oracle, significantly impacting Humana’s financials. They respond to ad-hoc requests, oversee monthly data preparation and invoicing, and coordinate with analytics, IT, and business areas across the organization. Utilizing advanced data modeling and predictive analytics, the team aims to optimize programs and products for revenue growth, contributing to innovative financial models and articulating complex data insights to various company units.

Note: This role is a Hybrid position, the office location is "Humana Tower" in Louisville, KY.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzes, collates and interprets high volume rebate data to research variances.

• Manages multiple responsibilities, cross department collaboration and displays a strong curiosity for researching data trends.

• Serves as rebates system expert with knowledge of system functionality, limitations and data tables.

• Partner with Humana’s internal pharmacy trade team to ensure accurate contract terms are invoiced.

• Primary contact to external drug manufacturer for invoicing, rebate analysis and ad-hoc requests.

• Performs data research, analysis and testing to support production and system upgrades.

• Experience in working structured and unstructured claims data.

• Maintain documentation of system controls, processes and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business or related field

• 2 - 5 years of data analysis experience

• Ability to use appropriate problem solving, research and analysis tools

• Experience with data mining, predictive modeling techniques and using data to drive business outcomes and decisions

• Strong attention to detail

• Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Degree

• Financial analytical experience a plus

• Preferred technologies such as SQL, Power-BI or similar tools

• Experience with Oracle e-Business Suite products

• Prior healthcare or pharmaceutical industry
