About the Opportunity

The Student Leadership Development Associate addresses the current needs of Northeastern’s student-led entrepreneurship ecosystem. Serves as the main coordinator to support the experiential programming that is the distinguishing characteristic of NUCEE’s offerings. Emphasizes listening to the needs of our community members and working with them to create solutions. Work independently and across disciplines within the University. As a member of NUCEE, works with Mosaic staff, the NUCEE team, and stakeholders across the University. Focuses on student management, community support and enhancement, communications, being a brand ambassador, supporting effective communications and ensuring the student voice is represented.

About NUCEE: 

Seeking an organized, thoughtful, communicative, empathetic, and detail-oriented Student Leadership Development Associate for the Northeastern University Center for Entrepreneurship Education (NUCEE). At NUCEE, we believe that entrepreneurship is for everyone and should be made accessible and straightforward. We firmly believe that students and alumni have fantastic ideas to change the world, and we empower our innovators to make that change happen. Our community members range from individuals who have never considered themselves entrepreneurs or innovators but are interested in solving societal challenges, to serial entrepreneurs working on several venture ideas at once.

In line with Northeastern University’s commitment to a hands-on “learning by doing” philosophy, all organizations under NUCEE are student-led and/or directly support students’ entrepreneurial learning.

NUCEE doesn’t just develop ventures but exists to help Northeastern students and alumni develop as entrepreneurial doers, leaders, and thinkers. We provide tools and space for community members to become comfortable in the innovation space as they take their ideas from concept to launch

Key Responsibilities + Accountabilities

The Student Leadership Development Associate emphasizes listening to the needs of our community members and working with them to create solutions. The Student Leadership Development Associate must be solution-oriented, proactive, thoughtful, and intentional in their actions. It is also important for the Student Leadership Development Associate to be able to work independently and across disciplines within the University. As a member of NUCEE, the Student Leadership Development Associate will work with Mosaic staff, the NUCEE team, and stakeholders across the University. The Student Leadership Development Associate will begin in June or July of 2024, and will focus on student management, community support and enhancement, communications, being a brand ambassador, and communications. Key responsibilities may include:

• Ongoing support for students in leadership positions across the NUCEE network to develop leadership and professional skills, strengthen their orgs, and create community within and outside their orgs.
• Ensure student voice is represented in NUCEE operations (e.g., developing advisors, facilitating input sessions)

Student Management - 

• Be the student-facing representative of NUCEE 
• First point of contact for Mosaic leaders
• Manage 3-5 NUCEE Student Fellows
• Build and manage Entrepreneurship Student Board, overseeing and moderating quarterly meetings. Help them consolidate feedback, recommendations, and information from students to present to NUCEE staff and create actionable next steps.
• Regular student leadership meetings with the executive leaders of Mosaic organizations, including high-level conversations about their goals for their time in Mosaic, peer-to-peer learning, workshops with outside speakers as relevant, and end-of-year handoff.
