About the role

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Product, Engineering, and UX teams to up-level experimentation rigor and self-service utility across functions

  • Develop and teach educational materials and standards to improve experiment design and interpretation across the company

  • Define and track metrics that evaluate the health and impact of experimentation across the company

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in computer science, mathematics, physics, economics, or related field or equivalent years of experience

  • Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence decision-making in a matrixed organization

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex statistical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • 5+ years of experience building and shipping great software, including responsibilities driving prioritization, trade-offs, and timelines

  • Experience with experimentation platforms, A/B testing frameworks, or causal inference methodologies

  • Familiarity with tools such as AB Tasty, Optimizely, or custom-built experimentation platforms is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts relevant to experimentation (p-values, confidence intervals, power analysis, etc.) and advanced experimentation techniques such as multivariate testing and multi-armed bandits

  • Advanced degree in quantitative subjects (e.g. statistics, engineering, finance, math)

  • Proven ability to analyze and synthesize data, including writing SQL, Python, and/or R

  • Demonstrated technical proficiency and effectiveness working closely with engineers

  • Experience building or improving experimentation platforms at scale
