Job Summary:
The successful candidate will have a dedicated interest in the care of patients preparing for and undergoing blood and marrow transplantation and cellular therapy (BMT-CT) procedures. This candidate will work with other attending physicians on the Pediatric BMT-CT service in the supervision of advance practice providers, fellows, and residents in organizing each day’s inpatient rounds, procedures, and family conferences. This position is a 0.25 FTE/cFTE with 100% of time spent as a faculty member practicing Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant-Cell Therapy independently in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide independent care of pediatric BMT-CT patients on the inpatient hospital service and patients in the outpatient clinic and infusion center
- Communicate with referring physicians regarding shared patients on BMT-CT service
- Lead BMT advance practice providers (APPs: physician assistants and nurse practitioners) in the care of both inpatients and outpatients
- Provide education and supervision to medical students, residents, and fellows in the inpatient and outpatient settings
- Write admission, discharge, acute care, and chemotherapy orders in collaboration with other physicians and advanced practice providers
- Provide coordination of care between the inpatient and outpatient settings
- Participate in the treatment of patients on clinical research protocols
Work Location:
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- MD or DO
- Board-Certified or -Eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
- Successful completion of a Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology with a minimum of one (1) year post-fellowship training and specialization in BMT/CT
Condition of Employment:
Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado
Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check
