Position Overview
The Principal Product & Process Change Leader will provide execution control and process improvement for product and process changes at Exact Sciences Labs. This role will have extensive intra- and inter- departmental interaction and will require an extensive knowledge of Lab processes and requirements, including regulatory compliance and technical knowledge and acumen across all Lab technologies and responsibilities. It will require strong communication, influencing and technical skills to ensure changes are deployed accurately and are sustainable. Change process development, especially for Laboratory New Product Introductions will be a concurrent deliverable in addition to deploying ongoing, continuous improvement changes.
This Product and Process Change Leader will support the Madison Lab(s). In addition to the stated duties, this position will also be responsible for sharing best practices and as needed, supporting Labs across the Exact Sciences network.
This is a fully onsite role in Madison, WI.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead product and process change deployments for the lab ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery and People considerations and requirements are achieved.
- Provide influential leadership cross functionally.
- Actively solve problems to achieve objectives.
- Deliver changes per daily/weekly timeline milestone attainment to achieve overall change deployment goals.
- Lead and/or support responses to needed, but previously unplanned changes.
- Provide influential leadership of cross functional teams to meet product and process change needs.
- Demonstrate outstanding communication and listening skills to enable the best solutions.
- Possess advanced process understanding of both PreAnalytical and Analytical work areas.
- Incorporate safety, quality and delivery focus on all deployment decisions.
- Exercise strong risk management skills and tools to consistently prevent or respond to obstacles or negative outcomes.

- Ability to work designated schedule, including flexibility to support off shifts / days for change deployment.
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends, as needed.
- Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 80% of a typical working day.
- Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously, including headset usage.
- Ability to simulate or perform Pre Analytical and Analytical tasks that require both standing and sitting.
- Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
- May perform repetitious actions using lab tools.
- Ability and means to travel up to 20% between local Exact Sciences Madison locations.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.
- You will be required to successfully complete an assessment showing understanding of Exact Sciences Epic processes necessary to the job functions with a score of 80% or higher. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field (STEM) as outlined in the essential duties; or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
- 7+ years of experience in complex laboratory operations, including pre analytical and analytical.
- Advanced proficiency computer skills to include internet navigation and email usage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, OneNote, Publisher, SharePoint.
- Excellent knowledge of LIS (Laboratory Information System) functionality.
