Warehouse Supervisor

Warehouse Supervisor Job Details: 

• Provides day to day direction of duties as performed by designated crew members
• Monday through Thursday schedule
• Assists in the recruitment and selection of Warehouse positions by working with the Warehouse Manager
• Supervise picking production including job assignment for assigned employees
• Supervise loading of delivery routes on Hayden vehicles for accuracy
• Ensure completion of duties prior to employee’s release from daily shift
• Assist in the selection of candidate for positions in direct line of responsibility
• Perform new hire and on-going Warehouse personnel operational and specific position training
• Supervise Warehouse personnel in the performance of safe workplace practices in compliance with department worksite safety programs
• Identify and report non-compliant performance in regards Standards of Conduct and other Company policies to Warehouse Manager, recommend and participate in disciplinary actions
• Helps ensure the accuracy of all inventories by reviewing that inventory management procedures are being met and followed correctly
• Monitor performance improvements for crew members while under disciplinary action review
• Participate and make recommendations to Warehouse Manager in review of assigned personnel’s performance
• Performs regular 1:1s with direct reports, sets goals and KPIs, holding team accountable for results and efficiencies.

General Statement of Duties

This position is responsible for the supervision of assigned warehouse personnel in their duties of receiving, picking, sorting, stocking, and loading of product onto the trucks for all orders. This position functions under direct supervision of the Warehouse Manager with latitude for independent direction in duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The primary function of an employee in this class is to perform the supervisor tasks associated with the oversight of policies and procedures resulting in effective warehouse operations.  Additional responsibilities may include occasionally assisting in production processes.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrate proficiency in the use of basic office equipment, ten key, and entry level accounting terminology
• Demonstrate proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; Intermediate MS Excel ability, specifically with knowledge of lookup and reference functions as well as pivot tables, ability to create spreadsheets, work with formulas
• Demonstrate the ability to maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients while providing high levels of service by communicating clear and timely responses to issues, requests, problems, and regular reporting
• Demonstrate the ability to successfully function as a member of a team through communication while engaging in self directed resourcefulness and analytical thinking
• Demonstrate the ability to adequately direct employees in the completion of duties and with necessary attention to detail
• Minimum 2 years of supervision experience, preferably from a warehouse environment
• Lift truck certification for all warehouse equipment and ability to instruct and certify team members
• Ability to understand the Vocollect voice system and the directions for locations and pick items in the warehouse
• Demonstrate the ability to successfully function as a team leader through communication while engaging in self-directed resourcefulness
• Participate and pass random drug tests in accordance with the Company’s established Drug Free Workplace programs.
