Summary

The Great Lakes Water Authority is looking for a Professional Administrative Analyst to provide and support the Wastewater Operations Water Resource Recovery Facility’s (WRRF) Leadership Team. We are looking for a team-oriented, innovative, hardworking individual to provide a full range of administrative support to the Director of Operations and the Water Resource Recovery Facility. In this role, you will provide a broad range of highly skilled and confidential administrative support to the Director and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with employees at all levels of the organization

Job Responsibilities

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience with technical reporting tools through various Microsoft Suite, developing KPIs and metrics to include Team Member rosters, turnover reports, training, and safety reports
  • Creating or assisting in creating dashboards for data analytics using tools such as Power BI
  • Excellent reading, writing, and communication skills
  • Experience in preparing budgets and creating reports in MS Excel
  • Creating presentations and team communications 
  • Business technology, data management systems, and applications
  • Solid analytical/problem-solving skills with the capability to identify solutions to unusual problems
  • Adaptability and flexibility and to change direction based on the modifications of priorities
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
  • Effectively work independently on assigned projects with minimum oversight 
  • Assist the WRRF team with preparing for meetings, including training materials, obtaining materials in advance, and distributing materials
  • Prepare and proof correspondence, reports, and other written material and prioritize work assigned to meet target deadlines
  • Independently analyze data to make recommendations for resolution, and make recommendations to business processes
  • Analyze the requirements of business/operational systems and processes
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Complete various assignments as requested with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate independent thinking, adaptability, judgment, and problem-solving skills 
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Maintain confidential records, files, and specific reports
  • Schedule complex meetings and maintain multiple calendars
  • Respond to requests for meeting availability
  •  Improve efficiencies of day-to-day tasks where possible
  • Communicate effectively and frequently with team members and other groups across the organization

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree: with specialization in Business Administration preferred, or any science degree such as Information Technology/computer science, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience related to the field and/or job assignment.
  • Education requirement can be substituted with extensive experience, at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer or designee.
