Ketjen, a wholly subsidiary of Albemarle, is seeking an HPC Unit Supervisor to support our Catalyst Business and oversee our HPC Unit located in Bayport, TX.
Operations are of a routine nature, normally requiring simple machine set-ups in areas such as stamping, extruding, spot welding, or assembly of small units. The Unit Supervisor requires technical proficiency and troubleshooting ability to supervise the production process. May have up to 30 semi-skilled subordinates. Supervises production activities to ensure manufactured products meet or exceed all established quality requirements, including product integrity and production order documentation.
Responsibilities
Supervises employees on an assigned shift to ensure manufacture of products, parts, components, or assemblies, or to perform service functions within established timing, quality, and cost standards.
Manage day to day operations in HPC.
Oversee and manage safe practices and procedures in HPC.
Manage environmental status in unit to ensure compliance.
Manage quality of intermediates and final product.
Manage operator training.
Desired Qualifications:
Computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office, SAP and Lotus Notes.
Strong motivational skills.
Ability to influence and manage change.
Application of corrective action techniques.
Knowledge of quality control procedures.
High School Diploma or equivalent
