Your Career 

Palo Alto Networks has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated candidate to join our SASE Finance team as a Senior Manager, Finance  In this role, you will report directly to the Director who leads the SASE Finance function and work with the SASE Finance Team and business partners to help build and deliver on our financial plans, support strategic decision-making, provide financial insight, and support building operational rigor and efficiency. 

This individual will also partner with Theater and Central Finance teams, and collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Operations, Go-To-Market, and Product teams on a regular basis. Being successful in this role requires a strong analytical ability, excellent organization and communication skills, and the ability to support/enable process improvement and insights across all the key FP&A areas.  

Your Impact  

  • Build and develop SaaS metrics: you will continue to refine existing and design new KPIs to make them business relevant and able to analyze the trend, changes versus industry benchmarks

  • Support all key SASE financial metrics, including ARR, Bookings, Revenue, Margins, Renewal rates, Customer Lifetime Value. You will build financial models in excel, google sheet, tableau or other systems such as Anaplan to to set up fully automated models 

  • Architect of visual presentation: Your analytical, storytelling and design skills will be very handy for our monthly and quarterly performance review decks, as well as other custom business presentations to senior management

  • Be a Strategist: You will have many opportunities to dig deeper into the business to provide actionable insights and recommendations through data analysis

  • Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g. Theater finance, India COE team, IT, Customer Success, Sales Ops, GTM, Product etc.) to continually improve metrics alignment, consistency, data integrity, and automation

  • Drive and provide support for ad-hoc strategic and financial analyses

Qualifications

Your Experience 

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in jobs of increasing responsibility within Finance or Accounting;  prior investment banking experience is a plus

  • Minimum of 2 years of people management experience.

  • Diversity of experience and exposure to a wide range of complex business models.

  • Application SaaS and Software industry experience is strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of a four-year college degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from an accredited university. MBA / Master’s degree preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to convey thoughts and ideas to effectively influence at all levels.

  • Executive presence and excellent presentation skills, including the ability to effectively develop and concisely present financial plans to senior management.

  • Strong leadership and team player who thrives in working both cross functionally and globally.

  • Selects, retains, and develops global talent to support company objectives and promote diversity.

  • Ability to effectively influence or mediate differing opinions and approaches at all levels of the organization.

  • Exercises good judgment and makes well-informed and timely decisions.

  • Ability to be both a leader and hands on “doer”.

  • Translates data into actionable information; bonus points for experience merging, enhancing, and analyzing large data sets utilizing technologie
