We are currently searching for a Technical Editor, Company Maintenance Manuals to join our team. You'll play a critical role within the Technical Publications department by handling various editorial tasks associated with the technical publications process. This position demands an outstanding ability to deliver quality work while juggling multiple responsibilities and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities 

 

• Proofreads and edits for authors responsible for developing and updating Company maintenance manuals
• Ensure Company maintenance manual creation and revision process is followed per Company procedures
• Reviews and edits Company maintenance manuals to ensure conformity with established formats
• Compares source document with approved current manual for accuracy
• Maintains online Editor’s Log for project tracking
• Ensure printed revisions are sent to the printer and distributed on time, if required
• Ensure shipments of printed materials are all received and tracked, if required

 

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

In this role, the Editor must be customer orientated, have a positive and optimistic outlook with a strong work ethic. The Editor must also have the ability to effectively and efficiently complete work assignments and monitor progress of incoming Company maintenance manual revision requests.

 

Job Requirements 

 

• Minimum age of 18  
• Possess the legal right to work in the United States 
• Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language 

• Previous proofreading and editing experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe FrameMaker
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Must be highly organized and possess a strong attention to detail
• Perform other duties as assigned
