Sr. Accountant - Aliso Viejo, CA

Compensation: $90,000-$110,000 per/year You are eligible to a Short-Term Incentive with the target at 7.5% of your annual earnings, terms and conditions apply.

Sr. Accountant – Aliso Viejo, CA (Hybrid – Onsite 3x/week)

The Sr. Accountant will be primarily responsible for ensuring assigned responsibilities are completed accurately and on a timely basis in accordance with the monthly close calendar. Assigned responsibilities include the reconciliation and analysis of specific corporate balance sheet and income statement accounts related to payroll, cash, lease accounting and accrued expenses.

Other primary responsibilities of the Sr. Accountant include security administration duties as they relate to time-sensitive requests for the processing of wire transfers. Apply automation to time sensitive reconciliations, and financial reporting, while preserving the integrity of SOP documentation. Prepare financial statements for internal and external stakeholders. Analyze differences between financial results and planned performance. Financial modeling and ad hoc analysis as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Obtains and maintains a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
• Reconciling accounts, records, reports, and journals.
• Ensures an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close.
• Support financial statement audits, and tax compliance requests.
• Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
• Monitors and analyzes department work in conjunction, to develop more efficient procedures and the use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Design management reports and prepare accounting and financial analysis.
• Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or equivalent work experience
• 4+ years financial accounting and reporting experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PPT and Access)
• Must have advanced Excel skills and advanced skills in report writing is highly desirable.
• Able to work within an ever-changing and fluid environment, while still maintaining a strong deadline-driven focus.
• Excellent analytical thinking and data manipulation skills.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
• Demonstrates the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and to carry out multiple tasks simultaneously with an extremely high attention to detail.
• Proficiency with computerized accounting systems
• Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the business.

Preferred:

• CPA
• Public company accounting experience
• SAP, XIFIN, Tableau, BI Software
• Participated in PCAOB audits
