Description
The Department of Neurosurgery at Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking a neurosurgery researcher to join the faculty as its Clinical Neuroscience program continues to expand.
Their job responsibilities may include:
- Designing and conducting experiments to test hypotheses about brain function and behavior.
- Analyzing data using statistical and computational methods to draw conclusions about the brain and nervous system.
- Collaborating with other researchers and scientific teams to share ideas and resources.
- Presenting research findings at conferences and publishing papers in scientific journals.
- Mentoring junior researchers and students in laboratory techniques and scientific methodology.
- Staying up-to-date with current trends and developments in the field of neuroscience.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of experiments and data.
As a university-employed faculty member, the incumbent will receive a competitive salary and academic appointment commensurate with experience, a comprehensive benefits package, and a relocation allowance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related field, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with laboratory techniques and equipment, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Previous experience with research grant funding is preferred.
