CMSPI is at the forefront of transforming the payments industry, and as an Insights Intern, you'll be at the heart of this exciting journey. We are seeking an Insights Intern, to play a pivotal role in our journey to become the world’s no 1 payments supply chain consultancy.

Role Overview

We are looking for two fulltime interns to join our Insights team! As an intern in our Insights team, you will be responsible for collecting market data and providing analysis of the global payments industry. Your work will be focused on our flagship State of the Industry Report and our database Market Trends Tracker. Additionally, you will work independently on assigned projects to develop subject matter expertise on a specific payments area; then you will present and share your insights to the business.

You will have exposure to a wide array of data sources, allowing you to identify macro- and microeconomic trends that affect merchants across the world. Your role will have an impact right away and will form the basis of our work with the world’s largest businesses and shaping CMSPI’s strategic consultancy.

Requirements

  • Educated to undergraduate degree level with a minimum overall 3.0 GPA in an Economics-related discipline with a high level of numeracy skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to apply logic, creativity, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Willing to commit to working during the months of January-April 2024
  • Able to work fulltime (40 hours) and in office (Atlanta, GA) at least twice a week - normal working hours are Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm
  • Ideally experience using Microsoft Office and skills using Microsoft Excel to analyze data.
  • PowerBI/SQL experience a plus.
  • An appetite to learn, and the ability to present market research insights in an engaging way to influence business decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to conduct multiple tasks at any one time.
  • A second language and prior payments knowledge is good to have but not essential.
