Summary:
Maintenance Worker, under the general supervision of the Streets Foreman II, supports the upkeep and safety of City infrastructure. encompasses a variety of tasks to include but are not limited to operating heavy machinery, manual labor, preventative maintenance, and participation in an on-call rotation. This is considered an essential personnel role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assists in and performs crack sealing on City streets and alleys
• Assists a crew with vegetation maintenance on or along City streets and alleys
• Performs routine preventative maintenance on trucks and equipment, including washing, interior cleaning, and greasing
• Sets up cones and barricades and flags traffic for safety
• Works in emergency situations with sanding oil spills and frozen streets, etc.
• Assists other crews in the performance of duties as needed
• Follows City policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent

Licenses and Certifications:
• Valid driver’s license
