About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Financial Analyst to join our Bank Tech Finance team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic and financial oversight of technology and innovation initiatives within the bank’s operations. As a trusted partner to senior leaders, you will manage budgets, analyze financial performance, and deliver insights that drive impactful decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Budget Ownership & Financial Oversight:

• Manage budget and expense forecasting for key technology initiatives.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain alignment with strategic goals and minimize variances.

Analysis & Reporting:

• Build and present executive-level reports to communicate financial results and forecast insights.

• Conduct detailed financial analyses to evaluate trends, impacts, and opportunities.

• Develop compelling narratives to contextualize financial outcomes within business priorities.

Strategic Partnership & Influence:

• Serve as a strategic advisor to business and technology leaders, leveraging financial insights to influence actions and outcomes.

• Build and maintain strong partnerships across business units to support strategic updates and financial goals.

• Proactively challenge current processes to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation.

Ad-Hoc Projects & Innovation:

• Support special projects, delivering actionable insights and recommendations.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to tell the story behind data, diagnose results, and support strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

• Exceptional communication and influencing abilities to articulate financial insights and strategies to senior stakeholders.

• Proficiency in managing large data sets, conducting variance analyses, and creating executive-ready presentations.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and manage competing priorities effectively.

• Experience in financial reporting, P&L management, and forecasting.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

• At least 2 years’ experience in financial analysis

• At least 2 years’ experience with financial modeling

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Finance

• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license

• 3+ years’ experience in financial analysis

• 3+ years’ experience with financial modeling

• Experience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
