About the team
The Senior Product Manager for Pro Messaging plays a critical role within the Job Connection and Completion team at Angi. This team is dedicated to helping more Homeowners progress their home projects from inception to completion whilst simultaneously helping Service Professionals win more business. We do this through a relentless focus on intuitive, empowering product experiences that remove friction and promote momentum at every step of the job journey, from finding and connecting with potential pros to leaving a review.
About the role
As the Senior Product Manager for Pro Messaging, you will shape the evolution of the tools available to Service Professionals to help them quickly and confidently connect with homeowners about their home service needs. You will build a deep understanding of the pain points Service Professionals (small and large) face when connecting with and nurturing prospective customers, and will define and implement a roadmap that finds innovative solutions to these very real problems. While your bread and butter will be Services Professionals, you will also partner closely with Homeowner-facing teams to create seamless product experiences that benefit both parties and create robust back-and-forth conversations that progress jobs forward.
In this role, you will encounter engaging problem sets that:
- Span multiple platforms (web and app) and channels of communication (email, SMS, native messaging, phone calls)
- Come with opportunities to capitalize on natural language learning, and are strategically significant to Angi’s future vision
What you'll do
- Develop a deep and nuanced understanding of the challenges faced by Service Professionals in connecting with homeowners and winning jobs by partnering with design and user research to conduct user interviews, develop quantitative surveys, etc
- Collect and analyze quantitative data to uncover thoughtful insights and hypotheses
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer needs, market trends, and business objectives
- Helm a cross-functional project team that regularly ships quality work at a high velocity
- Analyze and interpret tracked user behaviors and results from A/B testing to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform your roadmap
- Work as part of a larger collective of teams to collaboratively create seamless user journeys that extend across platforms (web and app), users (Service Professionals and Homeowners), communication modalities (native messaging, SMS, email, push, etc), and sessions
- Stay close to similar product initiatives and common technologies being developed across Angi to ensure that your team’s work is informed by scalability and shared applications across the organization
- Stay up-to-date and have a point of view on approaches to cutting edge communication, including how to leverage AI and ML models to solve relevant Service Professional messaging problems in intuitive and scalable ways.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity within the Product Management team, ensuring that user feedback, problems, and needs are at the core of our product development process.
Who you are
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical area of study or equivalent education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in consumer software product management, ideally with experience in multi-sided marketplaces, messaging, communication, and/or artificial intelligence (large language models, automation, etc).
- Highly collaborative: You work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, Research, Analytics, Product Marketing, and Support, to deliver innovative solutions with measurable business and user impact.
