We are looking for a Backend (Python) Developer with experience in development of high load web applications in fintech, software development or other related domains.
You will work in an agile development environment with a diverse team of Developers.

Note: This is a hybrid or remote role based in the Tri-State NYC area. 

Technical stack requirements:

Frameworks and Technologies:

• Python 3.6 and above
  Django 3+, Django Rest Framework (DRF);

• aiohttp/fastapi (async python frameworks);

• Celery framework.
  

Database:

• PostgreSQL;

• Redis;

• MongoDB (any NoSQL);

• Apache Kafka.

Nice to haves:

Any additional experience with Go, Kubernetes
 

What you'll do:

• Participate in the entire product development lifecycle, with a focus on coding and debugging;

• Collaborate with Front-end developer teams for the best integration of user-facing logic with the server side;

• Build clean and reusable code based on cutting-edge technologies to drive the product forward in terms of reliability, performance, quality;

• Think of and facilitate QA processes as much as possible;

• Gather and address technical requirements and problems;

• Develop, review and evaluate code written by other team members to ensure adherence to coding standards, optimize performance, and identify and fix bugs;

• Perform thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality software.

About you:

• Solid experience in backend development in Python developing large scale products (customer facing product or infrastructure teams is a preference);

• Expert knowledge of required frameworks and technologies;

• A deep understanding and multi-process architecture and the threading limitations of Python;

• Experience in testing your own code;

• Ability to collaborate on projects and work independently when required;

• Experience in building server APIs to communicate with mobile applications;

• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, fostering cooperation and alignment across teams;

• Excellent time management skills; 

• Ability to react and respond to the critical demands of the department with competing deadlines;

• Excellent technical skills must be able to use both MacOS / Linux operating systems and proficient in google suite products, data analysis and internet technologies.

The final compensation package for this role will be determined during the interview process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, internal equity, education, skill set, experience and training.
