THE JOB:
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer is to maintain and repair all flooring and related equipment while assisting in daily operations and activities as assigned. Additionally, they provide administrative and technical support as directed by department management.
STARTING RATE:Ā $35.52 an hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Maintain and repair equipment: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on boilers, compressors, refrigeration units, generators, and other mechanical systems powered by steam, electricity, gas, air, diesel, or water.
Handle flooring and stone finishes: Specialize in Akimi repairs for stone finishes, with expertise in floor preparation for tile setting and carpet laying.
Inspect equipment and flooring: Regularly inspect, maintain, and repair auxiliary equipment and various flooring types, including carpet, tile, marble, slate, granite, and vinyl.
Troubleshoot issues: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and flooring-related problems while ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards.
Complete work orders: Efficiently manage and complete assigned work orders, conducting daily route inspections to identify and address any necessary repairs for both equipment and flooring.
Ensure safety compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a safe working environment across all areas of responsibility.
Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties as requested.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational experience.
Availability: Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Experience: 5+ years of resort operations experience, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality guest service.
Customer Service: Proven ability to handle guest interactions professionally and resolve issues efficiently to ensure a positive guest experience.
Certification: Must possess a valid Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification, with expertise in pool maintenance, safety regulations, and compliance.
Communication: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced setting.
Physical Requirements: This position will require you to constantly stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, and squat. The job will also require you to lift, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
