Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is seeking Principal Systems Engineers based out of Tucson, AZ.  In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of system sustainment.  You will also be responsible for executing and managing tasks in the areas of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Sustainment Analysis, and Sustainment Planning. This will include tasks such technical documentation, spares analysis, provisioning support, training, reliability analysis, and system safety. This role will primarily support various LCE Effectors portfolio.
 

What You Will Do:

  • Perform industrial and process evaluation, improvement and/or re-engineering in support of Mission Support & Sustainment and related logistics activities.
  • Support leadership and customers with proposals efforts and manage engineering budgets.
  • Assist and manage in the development of action plans to address key engineering focus areas.
  • Assist and manage investigations and developments of new technology that can benefit LCE.
  • Performing supportability engineering tasking i.e. Logistics Support Analysis, technical documentation updates, training curricula, reports and presentations, spares management, etc.
  • Manage logistics concepts efforts for Supply, Maintenance, Transportation and Personnel as required.
  • Create and provide training to customer and Raytheon personnel.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires: a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with engineering logistics.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
     

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with leading a team of engineers and non-engineers.
  • Experience with technical documentation and logistics support.
  • Experience with drafting proposals and basis-of-estimates (BOEs.)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of MS Office or other presentation tools.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and able to take on new tasks with limited guidance.
  • Ability to establish and sustain effective business relationships, respond to customer needs in a timely manner, address complex technical requirements, and lead cross-functional team to achieve business goals.
