REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● Masters degree required.
● Evidence of collegiate training in classical singing.
● Evidence of experience singing professionally in commercial and/or modern
worship styles.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● Evidence of experience in a modern worship setting.
● Evidence of experience teaching undergraduate voice students (including TA experience).


JOB DESCRIPTION: The Southeastern University School of Music invites applications
from energetic and creative individuals for an open position in applied voice. Primary
responsibilities will be the applied instruction of undergraduate voice majors in both
classical and commercial techniques and styles. Special consideration will be given to
candidates that offer a background in music technology, music education K-12, or other
areas relevant to a 21st century music professional. The successful candidate will be
actively engaged in recruiting quality students as well as scholarly and creative activities
at the local, state, and national levels. Candidates must be committed to excellence in
music/music pedagogy and the Christian mission of Southeastern University.


APPLICATION: Interested candidates should submit (1) a letter of interest detailing
relevant qualifications, (2) a curriculum vitae with contact information for five references,
(3) links to video/videos of the candidate teaching an applied student (minimum 15
minutes), (4) links to video/videos that are representative of the candidate’s
performance skills (minimum 15 minutes, may include a modern worship service), and
(5) a statement of the candidate’s Christian faith. Please provide the letter, vitae, and
faith statement as PDF files. Only weblinks to performance and teaching videos will be
accepted (i.e., no CDs, DVDs, etc.). Additional materials may be requested at a later
date. Review of applications will begin December 11, 2023. The position is open until
filled.
