Job Description

The Leave Administrator is responsible to manage the organization's leave of absence programs.

Responsibilities:

• Administers the organization's leave programs, including paid parental leave, short-term disability, long-term disability, military leave, or unpaid leave
  • Administers FMLA and the interaction with all other types of leaves of absence
  • Reviews specific leave claims or requests, along with the Leave of Absence vendor, assists in determining employee eligibility
  • Assists managers in developing alternate work arrangements or coordination of coverage, and manages employee return to work or separation
  • Works with Leave Vendor and Payroll to ensure employees are placed on leave status and returned from leave status on a timely basis
  • Records the leaves and adjusts time or pay in the HRIS or payroll systems as needed
  • Ensures compliance with internal and external policies and regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to functional work is preferred, minimum High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a Human Resources, Payroll, and/or Benefits role
• Strong Oral and written communication skills
• Ability to build collaborative relationships
• Decision-making skills
• Strong Interpersonal skills
• Ability to exercise sound judgment
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize

Additional Information

The national pay range for this role is $44,400 to $78,800/ year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
