Position Summary

This position cleans, alters and maintains costumes for theatre productions.  

 

This positon pays an hourly rate of $20.34-$27.00.

 

Benefits for PT roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. Also, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year.

 

This position will remain open until August 30, 2024

About the Venue

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Providence, the RICC is within walking distance to restaurants, hotels, shops, art galleries, night clubs, museums and more. We offer 100,000 square feet of exhibition space, 20,000 square feet of ballroom space, 23 meeting rooms, and 30,000 square feet of pre-function space.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, cleaning, dyeing, sorting, handling and pressing costumes as needed
• Distribution, packing, unpacking, and repairing costumes as needed 
• Other costuming needs as neccassary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in costume alterations and/or sewing   
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work long hours including a varied schedule of days, nights, weekends and holidays
