The Officer, Global Health supports the implementation of the UN Foundation’s advocacy, communications, and resource mobilization strategy regarding key global health priorities. The Officer, Global Health conducts research and manages policy tracking, analysis, and synthesis of global health processes related to PPR, AMR, climate change, infectious diseases, and health financing to draft briefing papers, executive summaries, and presentations. The Officer, Global Health will also provide general project management and operational support to the Global Health team, including ensuring the flow of information between partners and key stakeholders, event planning and execution, as well as briefing and preparing Global Health leadership for high-level stakeholder engagement.
The Officer, Global Health reports to the Vice President, Global Health, and works closely with other members of the Global Health team.
This position is based in Washington, DC (Hybrid schedule).

Essential Functions
Strategy, Research, and Advocacy Support
- Contribute to advocacy, communications, and resource mobilization strategy discussions, as well as quarterly planning and reporting.
- Provide input during periodic portfolio reviews and recommend strategic course corrections in partnership with the Director, Global Health, the Global Health team, and executive leadership.
- Conduct research and manage policy tracking, analysis, and synthesis of global health processes related to issues such as PPR, AMR, climate change, infectious diseases, and health financing.
- Draft briefing papers, executive summaries, and presentations to support decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
- Maintain effective working relationships with partners across key global health issues to support project objectives.
- Brief and prepare Global Health leadership for high-level stakeholder engagement on key topics and emerging issues.
- Provide general project management and operational support, including scheduling meetings, capturing and summarizing action items, and developing materials to enhance coordination with partners and key stakeholders.
- Support the design and execution of virtual and in-person events and convenings, including managing invoices, contract paperwork, and processing in Salesforce.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of UNF’s Salesforce database to process and track agreements, extract information, and generate reports.
- Draft quarterly reports and year-end summaries related to key global health topics and project activities.
- Maintain a working knowledge of UNF’s agreement processes (for both contracts and grants) and utilize appropriate templates as needed.
- Draft and review agreements, ensuring understanding of all agreement terms and applicable flow-downs, while consulting with the Grants Manager, Global Health, and UNF’s finance/contracts team as necessary.
- Attend training sessions provided by UNF’s contracts team to stay updated on policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Selection Criteria
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in global health policy, advocacy, international development, or other relevant fields. Experience in PPR, AMR, climate change, and/or infectious diseases is preferred.
- Proven experience working with senior decision-makers and their teams, including developing written materials such as analyses, reports, and talking points for executive leadership.
- Experience in event management is preferred.
- Excellent writing and analytical abilities, with a proven capacity to synthesize complex topics into clear, digestible briefings for both technical and non-technical audiences. A record of health-related publications is preferred.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from diverse organizations and functional areas.
