Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager for our Behavioral Health Unit who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. We’re offering sign-on bonuses up to $10,000.

As an ANM, you will:
• Directly report to the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) and be responsible for the assessment, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care.
• Work together with the CNM to facilitate, mentor, and evaluate others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills.
• Continuously assess unit needs to ensure adequate resources for current and upcoming shifts by collaborating with the CNM, other departments clinical and nonclinical, to coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients in a timely manner.
• Prepare to assume the duties of the CNM in her/his absence (off shifts, weekends and holidays).
• Demonstrate professionalism at all times and uphold standards of practice by holding team members accountable for continued compliance in accordance with organizational goals and nursing mission and vision.

Qualifications include:
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Valid Maryland RN license required
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Two to three years’ work experience in Behavioral Health
• One year supervisory/management experience preferred

Work Schedule:

Adult Psychotic Disorders Unit

Day Shift: 0645-1915, 3-12hr shifts per week, with one Saturday per month requirement OR Night Shift 1845-0715, 3-12hr shifts per week, with one Saturday per month requirement.
