Responsibilities
LMI is seeking a Sales Engineering Lead for a remote or hybrid position. Sales Engineering Leads guide a small team of highly skilled engineers to rapidly tailor our existing platforms or build new solutions to demonstrate how LMI could solve their challenges.The Sales Engineering teams work closely with our existing platforms (RAPTR, LIGER, and IronSled) to understand how ehey could be leveraged to solve a wide range of challenges. Successful Sales Engineering Leads work closely with customers to deeply understand their problems and rapidly develop proof of concept demonstrations of how our tools can be used. Successful Sales Engineering leads can effectively qualify potential leads, quickly earn customer trust, rapidly prioritize customer demands, translate these to a technical team, understand the advantages and limitations of our platforms, lead the development of rapid prototypes, and effectively communicate the value of our solutions to customers.
This Sales Engineering Lead will:
- Work closely with customers to deeply understand their problems and either tailor existing solutions or build something new to demonstrate how we could solve their challenges.
- Guide a small team of highly skilled engineers to rapidly tailor our core platforms (RAPTR, LIGER, IronSled) for customer-specific needs or build new solutions.
- Create and present proof-of-concept demonstrations to showcase how LMI’s tools can be utilized to solve a wide range of challenges.
- Effectively qualify potential leads, understanding their requirements and prioritizing them to maximize impact and customer satisfaction.
- Rapidly develop and adapt prototypes to meet evolving customer demands and feedback.
- Translate customer requirements into actionable tasks for the technical team, ensuring alignment with the customer’s goals and timelines.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the capabilities and limitations of our platforms, and leverage this knowledge to guide solution development.
- Communicate the value and benefits of our solutions to customers in a clear, compelling manner.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to earn trust and ensure long-term collaboration.
- Provide strategic input on product development and enhancements based on customer feedback and emerging market trends.
- Collaborate across various teams within LMI to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a SECRET security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions engineering, product management, tech leadership, or a related technical role.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud computing and deployment models, including navigating the ATO process.
- Proven experience navigating the government sales cycle across different contract vehicle types and pricing strategies.
- High energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to effectively interact with senior executives from both Government and industry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage shifting priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to create and foster a cooperative work environment.
- Availability for occasional travel based on project requirements.

- Experience in sales engineering within the federal government sector, with a deep understanding of federal customers' unique challenges and requirements.
