About the Role
Are you a seasoned claims professional with a passion for fair outcomes and exceptional service? Acadia Insurance is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Representative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex lost time claims while ensuring compliance with company standards and state regulations.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct thorough investigations and evaluate claims to determine compensability.
- Communicate decisions clearly and professionally to all stakeholders.
- Manage litigated files from start to finish, collaborating with defense counsel.
- Negotiate settlements in good faith and ensure timely, accurate reserving.
- Maintain detailed documentation in a paperless system.
- Build strong relationships with agents, vendors, and internal teams.
- Represent Acadia in roundtable discussions and contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
What You Bring
- 5+ years of New Hampshire Workers’ Compensation Lost Time claims experience.
- Valid NH WC Adjuster License (Vermont experience and license a plus).
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and claims management systems.
- Ability to manage a complex workload independently and effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Preferred:
- Vermont WC claims experience and licence
- Advanced insurance coursework (AIC, CPCU, etc.)
