Job Description
AECOM is seeking an IT Desktop Analyst to support our Regional Transportation Management Center - located in Fort Lauderdale. This is an onsite role working the 6:30AM - 3:30 PM shift.
The RTMC IT Desktop Analyst position is responsible for providing Information Technology Support to end-users at remote sites, as needed. Assist with endpoint remediation to ensure PC client health. Install and configure network and local printers. Provide support and troubleshooting on mobile devices. Responsible for utilizing the ServiceDesk to document solutions to IT problems. Provide end-user training, as needed. Assist in audiovisual setups and videoconferencing support, for in-person, virtual, and hybrid meetings. Responsible for maintaining Windows workstations and overall information systems support for District 4 TSM&O users.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Configure and deploy Information Technology resources, which include but is not limited to desktops, laptops, printers, plotters, and mobile devices
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, using proven troubleshooting procedures
- Assist in coordinating audiovisual setups and video conferencing support
- Responsible for assisting with Inventory Audits, by scanning, following equipment surplus preparation process, and accountable for accurate and timely tracking
- Responsible for security administration (password resets)
- Install, configure, and update software
- Participate in team projects, meetings, and assignments
- Responsible for reading and following the Department’s Procedures and Policies
- Responsible for understanding and enforcing the Department’s Policies and Procedures
- Responsible for documenting solutions to Technology issues
- Responsible for traveling to remote sites to resolve IT-related issues and/or to deploy resources
- Responsible for tracking incidents in the Service Desk Ticketing System
- Responsible for creating and tracking Property in the Asset Management System for IT equipment transfers/relocation/reassignment
- Perform other related duties, as assigned
- Flexibility to work hours between 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- After hours on-call rotation with assistance in the evenings and weekends
- Ability to work other hours, as assigned for business continuity

Minimum Requirements:
- Associates Degree or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; must also successfully complete Joint Task Force (JTF) Security Clearance Process which includes fingerprinting process
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in an office environment. Position requires frequent keyboard/mouse operations, performing repetitive fine hand movements, and sitting for long periods of time; Rarely standing/walking. Position will include wearing a dispatch headset, viewing CCTV camera displays, and listening to law enforcement radio broadcasts
Preferred Requirements:
- Secondary education in computer science or the equivalent of one (1) year of experience in desktop support or similar responsibilities.
- Understanding TSM&O principles.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical information in layman’s terms.
- Ability to work alternate work schedules and be on-call 24 hours/day.
- Ability to create daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports regarding system availability and Helpdesk calls.
