$1,250 per 1 credit with upward adjustment for years of service at Marist University. Pay may vary depending on credits pertaining to online, graduate, music, or lab courses.

Job Summary:

The School of Social & Behavioral Sciences invites applications for a Part-Time Faculty, Education position for the 2026-2027 academic year. Opportunities to teach multiple/additional courses may become available. Successful candidates will teach, develop course materials, assist students as needed, and assess student work. Candidates will be contacted on an as-needed basis.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates should have a Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution, and preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience.

Essential Functions:

Opportunities are available to teach in one or more specialized areas, including educational technology, multicultural education, supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities, secondary transition planning for students with disabilities, and reading assessment and literacy intervention. Teaching opportunities include undergraduate courses in both on-ground and online environments. Availability to teach during daytime hours is desired. Bringing K-12 or practical educational experience into the classroom, through your own background or guest speakers from your professional network, is preferred.
