Job Summary 

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) seeks a contractual Projects Officer (eGRC) to support the Office of Risk Management (ORM) in delivering enterprise risk management (ERM) initiatives. This role is project-based and centers on the implementation and management of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms and related automation projects. The Projects Officer will drive documentation, process mapping, stakeholder engagement, and cross-departmental collaboration to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with organizational objectives. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Project Management: Coordinate project activities for the implementation of GRC platforms, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting on project milestones and deliverables. 

  • Documentation & Analysis: Prepare and finalize business process flows, user stories, business requirements, use cases, and cost-benefit analyses for capital funding requests and project proposals. 

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with teams across ORM, ISG, DPI, ITD, and other departments to gather input, validate requirements, and ensure alignment with organizational needs. 

  • Implementation Partner Selection: Support the process for selecting and retaining implementation partners for GRC platform projects, working within IMF procurement and project management frameworks. 

  • Process Improvement: Document and validate current and future state processes, identify opportunities for automation, and support the transition to new systems and workflows. 

  • Change Management: Facilitate organizational understanding of GRC automation, present project updates at meetings, and support departmental adoption through training and communication. 

  • Data & Analytics: Contribute to the design and implementation of risk data models, analytics, and reporting capabilities, ensuring compliance with BCBS 239 and other relevant standards. 

  • Coordination: Coordinate with The Data Privacy Team to ensure that their requirements are addressed in the new system. 

  • Cross-Functional Support: Assist with interim data solutions, risk event assessments, and other tasks as requested, supporting broader ORM and Fund objectives. 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Educational development, typically acquired by the completion of an advanced university degree, or equivalent, in business, accounting, economics, finance, information technology, law, communications, organizational development, or a related field, or a professional certification either as an Accountant (CPA or international equivalent) or as an Auditor (CIA or CISA), supplemented by a minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience, is required. Alternatively, a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a related position at Grade A10, or equivalent, is required.

  • Demonstrated experience in project management, risk management, GRC system implementation, and cross-functional collaboration. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Proven ability to influence, collaborate, initiate action plans, manage change, and complete challenging assignments.
