Position Title: Senior Assembly Technician
Department: Assembly Manager: Assembly Manager
Tier Level: 20 FLSA: Non-exempt

Essential Functions:
- Inspect, trim, and assemble custom-made products to customer specifications.
- Operate various types of equipment (laser micrometer, glue machine, Sciver, fuse down, other heat elements, etc.) for assembly.
- Documents all materials and labor used to assemble products in GUI, on Assembly Setup sheets and/or LHR forms.
- Use a variety of magnification equipment and gages to ensure the product meets specifications.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent which includes having the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Yellow belt certification or above preferred.
Previous Work Experience:
- Prior experience as a MicroLumen Assembly Technician is required.
- This position requires on-the-job training.
Physical Requirements:
- Light physical requirements, including climbing stepstool, repetitive motion, and working with hands overhead.
- Must be able to remain seated and stationary 50% of the time or more.
- Must be able to constantly use hands and fingers with excellent dexterity for assembling small parts and detecting defects.
- Must be able to constantly use eyes to visually assemble and assemble small parts, detect defects, and determine measurements on parts.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to consistently meet KPI requirements on a minimum of three processes (roll-cut, reflow/ skive, glue, crimp).
- Must be highly organized due to the multitude of process steps and materials used.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language proficiently to ensure compliance with our ISO 13485 procedures.
- Ability to work with small and fragile components; for example, marker bands and Pebax.
- Consistently demonstrates leadership by example and accountability by following the ROBERDS way and Assembly Lab’s Core values.
- Must be self-driven with an ability to start and complete projects independently or within a team environment.
- Manages PTO professionally, arrives consistently on time, and provides appropriate notice when absent.
