Graphics Student Assistant Specialist

The New School was founded by forward-thinking educators in 1919 to defy the intellectual constraints of a traditional college education. We are seeking a student employee to support administrative tasks for the Intergenerational Design course offered by the School of Design Strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Synthesize data into key insights about intergenerational design 

• Translate findings into graphic design 

• Incorporate feedback to hone public-facing visuals and assist in communications 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Acceptable qualifications include:

• Experience working with external clients and stakeholders

• Advanced proficiency and excellence in Adobe Creative Suite software

• Professional experience in graphic design 

• Excellent communication skills  

• Attentiveness to detail 

• Must be able to work independently and check in with a supervisor on a weekly basis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellence in Illustrator

• Prior experience developing pitch decks and public-facing marketing materials 

WORK MODE

• Hybrid - Employees hired for this position primarily work remotely, with the occasional on-campus presence required with advanced notice. Employees in this role will also be expected to use their best judgment to be on campus when necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of their job descriptions. #LI-DNI

HOURLY RATE

$21 per hour
