As the Senior Consultant, you will provide leadership, project management and strategic and functional support to distribution operations and projects, with a key focus and accountability for the following areas:
Distribution Network Productivity Management
KCNA RDC and Plant DC Finished Goods and Materials Storage and Flow
WAVE Delivery of Productivity Team initiatives
You will also provide leadership, project management and strategic and functional support for finished goods and material logistics operation for Kimberly-Clark North America (KCNA) Regional DC’s, Plant DC’s, and Overflow sites. You will also help create and drive operations standardization across the network and establish new/improved capabilities with focus in the areas of operational execution, productivity, physical layout & flow optimization, 3PL Cost Model development, 3PL relationship management, strategic/transformational program development, and supporting the implementation and operations of automated environments.
In this role, you will:
Partner with Site & Staff Distribution teams, and 3PL partners, to lead the labor productivity management system and related improvement programs designed to achieve sustainable, best-in-class productivity results versus defined engineering standards
Partner with cross-functional and 3PL partners, suppliers, and site & staff Logistics teams to lead the development and implementation of Finished Goods and Material Storage and Flow strategies and best practices, including optimizing storage efficiency
Actively support Talent Development for the KCNA Productivity Team through coaching, mentoring, providing feedback, and participating in interviewing/talent acquisition process
Develop and drive Logistics strategies at 3PL Operated Regional DC’s and Plant attached DCs in conjunction with site Logistics Leaders around Finished Goods / Materials storage and flow
Create and own processes to build Logistics standardization across Regional DC’s and Plant DCs
Facilitate strategic collaboration with Planning and Manufacturing to drive continuous improvement in end-to-end Kimberly-Clark supply chain execution
Identify and support implementation of distribution programs designed to deliver external cost savings (ECS) and enter and provide updates into WAVE
Take operational ownership of key DC initiatives as needed, ensuring effective project management, including new DC start-up activities
