About the Unit 

The Zeeland Emergency Department (ZH ED) is a certified primary stroke center and a Level III trauma center. We have 18 stretcher care areas where we see both adult and pediatric patients. We see approximately 28K patients per year, with 5,000 of those being pediatric. We are a tight knit team providing high quality care to our community which reflects in our highly rated patient experience scores. 

 

Scope of work 

Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider.  Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team.

Qualifications 

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required 

• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
