We are currently looking for a Safety, Health & Environment Intern focused on Industrial Hygiene at our Princeton, NJ office.
The 2026 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will run from June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Your Key Responsibilities
- Support Industrial Hygiene activities such as exposure monitoring, documentation, and data interpretation
- Assist in the development and implementation of SHE programs and procedures
- Participate in field observations, workplace assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support SHE-related projects
- Contribute to reporting, analysis, and communication of SHE metrics

You Bring
- Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or a related field
- Candidates must be available to work full-time on-site beginning on June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026.
- Strong interest in Industrial Hygiene and broader SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) topics
- Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills
The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. Compensation will be dependent on factors that include location, education, training, specific skills, and years of experience.
At the end of this internship, you will:
- Have gained practical, hands-on experience in Industrial Hygiene, including exposure monitoring, assessment techniques, and data interpretation.
- Understand how SHE programs are developed, implemented, and continuously improved within an operational environment.
- Have contributed to real projects that enhance workplace safety, health, and environmental performance.
- Be familiar with regulatory expectations, corporate SHE processes, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Have expanded your technical skills, professional network, and readiness for a career in Industrial Hygiene or the broader SHE field.
