Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll ensure full compliance with all healthcare infection control regulations while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. You’ll serve as a resource for staff and healthcare team members, offering guidance on sterilization techniques, product details, and equipment operation.

You consistently demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to UCLA Health and Central Supply Receiving policies and procedures. You actively participate in Quality Management and PIE programs, attend required in-services and safety trainings, and help orient and support new team members.

You communicate clearly and respectfully with coworkers, patients, and families, maintaining excellent guest relations and telephone etiquette. You bring a positive attitude, manage your time well, adapt to changing workloads and shifts, and always look for ways to support your team and department. Physical requirements include the ability to push or pull up to 100 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds.

Effective 06/22/2025, employees represented by the AFSCME Union will receive a minimum wage of $25.

• Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare infection control standards and sterilization techniques

• Ability to operate and maintain sterilization and decontamination equipment safely and effectively

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work professionally with staff, patients, and visitors

• Proven ability to follow oral and written instructions in English
