We are looking for a talented Health, Safety and Environment Leader - Low Complexity - to join our team specializing in Health and Safety for our Cummins location in Florence, KY.

- Incident Investigation & Risk Reduction: Lead thorough, evidence based HSE incident investigations and root cause analyses to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
- Performance Measurement & Compliance: Develop and analyze key HSE performance indicators to inform strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect employees and the environment.
- Operational Risk Management: Conduct hazard evaluations and apply risk assessment techniques to prioritize and implement control measures that reduce risk to the lowest practicable level.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Cross Functional Relationship Building: Build strong partnerships across functions to ensure clarity of roles, shared accountability, and commitment to a positive health, safety, and environmental culture.
- Employee Engagement & Consultation: Ensure employees are actively involved in shaping programs, policies, and procedures by creating opportunities for meaningful input and collaboration.
- Risk Identification & Assessment Expertise: Lead hazard identification, environmental aspect reviews, and risk assessment programs to uncover strategic improvement opportunities and compliance gaps.
- Planning & Execution Leadership: Set site level targets and objectives, manage action plans, and oversee progress through completion to ensure operational and compliance goals are met.
- Training & Support Infrastructure: Develop and maintain an effective support model through training, skills development, internal communications, and controlled, up to date support content that adheres to data privacy requirements.
- Regulatory & Compliance Management: Interface with external regulatory bodies (with legal support), lead daily HSE operations, and ensure compliance across areas such as incident investigation, contractor safety, emergency response, pollution prevention, and sustainability.
- Data��Driven Performance Improvement: Use risk based and data driven methods to improve HSE performance metrics, evaluate audit and compliance findings, and develop targeted improvement plans aligned with Cummins reporting and management system requirements.
- Leadership, Coaching & Continuous Development: Coach and develop direct reports and cross functional teams, resolve incidents and nonconformities, and pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with emerging HSE trends and best practices.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree required. Health, Safety and/or Environmental degree preferred. Professional certification in HSE-related field preferred.
Experience:
Intermediate level of experience required, including experience in management of health, safety and environmental ISO Standards required. Minimal management experience preferred.
This role will be responsible for managing a team of four hourly employees. Three safety coordinators and a training coordinator. The HSE supervisor will be responsible for working with the site manager to set the safety strategy and conduct root caus
