Job Purpose:

The Program Support Consultant (PSC) provides high quality and proactive support of the Regional Program Leader (RPL), working closely with that role to understand the support and resources required to meet credit union needs and is responsible for the project management and coordination of initiatives and issue resolution efforts for assigned credit unions. Working collaboratively across CBSI support teams for the success of the region, and for the needs of assigned credit unions will be critical, especially in areas such as compliance, technology, operations and others. This role will be a direct resource and partner to the RPL of assigned territory to bring solutions that fit the specific needs of credit union programs within the Region and will also build relationships and engage with credit union Program Managers/Champions to make meaningful commitments to increasing member penetration and significantly growing their programs.

Job Responsibilities:
 

  • Partner with Regional Program Leader to support the needs of credit union account assignments.
  • Build strong working relationships at strategic and tactical levels with credit union’s program leadership, executive team, and supporting credit union staff.  
  • Drive credit union issue resolution as necessary by coordinating efforts across necessary support groups, and monitor satisfaction through proactive follow-up.
  • Oversee and submit any necessary administrative requests in relation to the onboarding credit union employees while also ensuring compensation plans fall within accepted guidelines and providing consultation to credit unions.
  • Assist Regional Program Leader with preparation and compilation of program data, growth measures and other performance metrics; the preparation of client facing presentations, and delivery of important communications to credit unions.
  • Promote corporate initiatives and strive for their integration as they align with credit union goals
  • Establish a strong working relationship with internal business partners and act as a liaison to home office on behalf of and in support of credit union accounts.
  • Be a key point of contact representing CBSI with assigned credit unions continually enhancing and building upon overall business relationships with assigned credit unions as measured through program growth and retention in addition to non-financial metrics.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing or equivalent trade off in work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience of successful sales and retention preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, plan projects and maintain deadlines with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow complex processes, with aptitude for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, relationship building, problem-solving skills, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with conflict and ability to motivate and coordinate groups of functional staff across multiple support areas.
  • Demonstrated strong persuasive, influencing skills with key decision makers.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate computer technology into sales processes.
  • Demonstrated strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 10%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of LPL’s ClientWorks system and LPL operations
  • SIE and S6 or S7 FINRA registration
  • Experience working with credit union investment programs
  • Knowledge of LPL marketing tools and review process a plus
  • General understanding of advisor licensing and registration requirements
  • General knowledge around financial planning process, products and services
