Who are we hiring?  

Sphere is looking for a Director of Live Event Productions to drive, lead, and manage the Digital Content Creation and Production of an event from client initiation through Post Production including delivery to Sphere venues. The Director is responsible for ensuring that all events and productions commissioned by Sphere are fully developed with the client and achieve contractual agreement on creative, production schedule, and budget. Additionally, this role will vet any internal resources, outside vendors, external crews, and or suppliers to be sure Sphere is getting the best value for its money, and to support and help fulfill the creative vision of the client and business leader.   

Reporting to the VP of Physical Production, this role will work closely with the heads of departments including Capture, Core Tech, Post Production, Show Technology, and Show Management, Commercial and Marquee Event Sales, Venue Operations, Legal, and Finance.  The candidate must have demonstrated production leadership experience. The ideal candidate has a blend of live event music production along with digital content production experience with a deep technical background and expertise. Experience in broadcast, streaming formats, music live event production, and immersive theatrical experiences are a plus. 

This role includes planning and coordination for any technical and creative testing as well as any planned rehearsal time in Burbank or Sphere venue in Las Vegas.  This role will be responsible for the build out of live event production operations and project management processes for the production.
