    Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for a Sr Principal Electrical Engineer or Principal Electrical Engineer at its Subsystem and Software Sustainment (S&SS) organization in Warner Robins, GA. This engineering position is for a role on our Hardware Engineering Team. In this role you will support the USAF F-15 Avionics Maintenance Engineering Authority. This position is in Warner Robins, GA and requires that you work on-site daily.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Provide technical expertise and engineering support to USAF F-15 Avionics Supply Maintenance Engineering Authority.

    • Analyze electronic capabilities to resolve problems and output requirements using engineering best practices and standards. 

    • Prepares technical data packages and reports.  Therefore, excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are essential to succeeding in this role.  

    • Perform root cause analysis and corrective action recommendations on avionic systems, testing equipment, and testing software.

    • Simulates and tests hardware/software test programs.

    • Perform data analysis.

    • Research and collaborate with team members.

    **This position may be filled at Principal or Senior Principal Level.

    Basic Qualifications for Principal Electrical Engineer:  

    • Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent STEM related discipline

    • Minimum of 5 years of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 3 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; No direct relevant experience necessary with PhD.

    • Must currently hold and be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance.

    Basic Qualifications for Sr Principal Electrical Engineer:  

    • Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent STEM related discipline

    • Minimum of 8 years of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 6 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; No direct relevant experience necessary with PhD.

    • Must currently hold and be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strong background in DoD avionics, specifically F-15 avionics.

    • Familiar with DoD Technical Data (Technical Orders, Test Requirements Document, Drawing etc.)

    • Familiar with analyzing component/system level specification data.

    • Background in DMSS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources of Supply) issue resolution and component evaluations to a specific set of requirements to resolve obsolesce.

    • Avionics troubleshooting experience.

    Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00Salary Range 2: $118,600.00 - $148,300.00
