Field Engineer

Albireo Energy is a leader in the Pacific Northwest for open-protocol and custom developed Building Automation and Industrial Control systems. We thrive in a casual but dynamic work environment and are seeking a field installation and engineering professional to join our Solutions team.

This position assists in task-based scopes including manufacturing, installation, point-to-point electrical checkout, and commissioning of projects in coordination with systems integration, engineering, and project management. This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop and enhance their skills in the field of industrial automation & control systems (IACS) in a mentor-mentee environment.

In this position your duties will entail:

• Field activities such as installation, commissioning, and site investigations.
• Warehouse activities including electrical panel manufacturing, and parts delivery.
• Assist in the performance of systems integrations using a wide variety of serial and ethernet protocols.
• Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing as required.
• Assist in coordination and direction of subcontractors during field activities.

Requirements

• 0-1+ years in PLC maintenance activities, including controller upload/download and I/O checkout.
• 0-1+ years in electrical circuit troubleshooting and installation review.
• Demonstrated experience with networking equipment including simple Ethernet diagnostics, communications cabling, and basic understanding of TCP/IP communications.
• Strong oral communication skills.
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Associates or trade degree in engineering, related field, or commensurate experience.

Pay Rate: $25-$40/hr. DOE.

Vehicle Allowance and/or Company Vehicle, subject to driving record approval.
