Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set targets and supervise all Accounts Receivable/Billing, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Accounting personnel
- Guide the company towards profitability and long-term success
- Planning, organizing and coordinating year-end close process with auditors
- Develop and manage relationships with partners and investors
- Establish and maintain strong finance vendor relations
- Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions
- Review and reporting of monthly cash flow statements
- Developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
- Coordinate and prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
- Develop financial accounting objectives
- Budgeting and cost control projects
- Oversee procurement and new vendor documentation
- Visual lease CAM and Rent reconciliation review and updates to the system
- Oversee the annual food program, monthly food program filings, quarterly audit
- Ensuring successful completion of the company’s tax filings
- Planning, budgeting and authorizing expenditures
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy in all finance departments
- Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
- Managing cross-functional projects between finance and other departments
- Oversight of American Express Credit Card and Staples Business Advantage program
- Proactively review internal processes and implement improvements
- Hiring, training and retaining competent finance staff
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 5-6 years or more of public or public/private accounting experience
- Multi-Site retail experience a plus in a private equity backed model
- Ability to direct and supervise
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP required and IFRS a plus
- Purchase accounting, M&A and integration experience a plus
- Experience with technical accounting research, evaluation and documentation
- Solid system skills – preferred experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 365, Paylocity or ADP, Microsoft Power BI, advanced excel, Procare AR and billing systems
- Ability to roll up sleeves and be proactive to obtain needed information
- Excellent verbal communication skills required for communicating issues and providing concise, thoughtful updates to senior management
- Excellent people, team building and leadership skills
- Solid technical, analytical and problem solving skills

How It Gets Done:
- Is able to work at least a full-time, 40-hour a week schedule, sometimes off-hours as the business requires (i.e., deadlines, networking events, conferences, business dinners, etc.).
- Is able to sit for long periods of time at a computer in a primarily sedentary position; manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Limited travel may be required (less than 10% of time), valid passport required.
