The Occupational Therapy Service includes over 90 team members consisting of occupational therapists and assistants, play specialists, diversional therapists, carpenter, and administration officers. We work across acute, sub-acute and community settings, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, the largest teaching Hospital in Tasmania.

The Role:

The In-Reach Rehabilitation Team is an inter-disciplinary medical, nursing and allied health team delivering co-ordinated, patient-centred and goal orientated rehabilitation services to patients on acute wards of the Royal Hobart Hospital. This team provides a vital service to patients requiring rehabilitation but unable to transfer to an off-site rehabilitation ward.  As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will provide high quality therapy programs and co-ordinated discharge planning to achieve excellent patient outcomes. 

You will need:

• Experience and expertise as an Occupational Therapist in rehabilitation services
• The ability to work as an autonomous practitioner within an interdisciplinary team
• An understanding of, and ability to effectively delegate to Allied Health Assistants

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: 

$110,425 to $126,703 per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
