As a Security Officer - Healthcare Facility in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the facility, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing prompt assistance when needed. You will be expected to communicate clearly and professionally, offering exceptional customer service while responding to various situations that may arise. This role allows you to make a meaningful impact by supporting a welcoming and secure atmosphere in a dynamic healthcare location. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines)
Transport patients to the morgue, as needed
Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency room
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the healthcare environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related incidents encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification as needed, and helping to maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
- Support Allied Universal and the client by maintaining professionalism and providing visible security-related presence throughout the location.
- Document all activities and incidents thoroughly in daily reports and communicate important information to supervisors and/or site management as required.

Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A valid Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- CPR Certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
