Job Summary
Maintain daily curve processes in support of nightly dispatch model valuations with primarily focus on data completeness and integrity.The Risk analyst may contribute to numerous aspects of Risk Management, such as Risk Reporting, Credit Risk, Market Risk and Analytics and Risk Control.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
•Maintain daily curve processes in support of nightly dispatch model valuations with primarily focus on data completeness and integrity.•Ensure that all reporting tools meet risk reporting standards.•Interface with front office traders, planning, accounting, pricing, confirmation and deal entry, and other reporting groups to meet ad hoc report requests.•Develop proposals which would potentially enhance the reliability, accuracy, and/or overall effectiveness of reports.•Interface with front office traders, planning, accounting, pricing, confirmation and deal entry, and other reporting groups to meet ad hoc report requests.•Adapt existing database tables/structure, spreadsheets, complex valuation models and other programs to best meet departmental or end user needs.•Support cross-functional development projects which would enhance existing risk data systems.•Perform applicable SOX control requirements related to monthly and quarterly earnings reporting cycles.Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
•Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certification in finance, economics, engineering, physics, mathematics, or related quantitative discipline•Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.•1-3 years professional experience; working in a commodity risk management environment preferred.•Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.•Experience with Energy Trade Risk management software platform (such as Zai*Net, RAFT, GasMaster, or other ETRM system) is a plus.•Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access and Power Point).•Ability to work as a member of a multi-discipline, cross-functional and collaborative team environment.Key Metrics:
