Annual Base Salary: $47,045.18

Paid Bi-Weekly

 

Excellent retirement package and optional deferred compensation plan.  Health, vision, dental, ‎disability, and other supplemental insurance are available at reasonable premium rates.  Paid vacation ‎and sick leave.  Nine (9) paid holidays and personal day.  Tuition waiver is available for State ‎Universities and Community Colleges (up to six credits per semester).‎

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a current Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs employee. 
• Combination of two years of professional experience or education in budgeting, accounting, auditing or financial planning or analysis work.
• The ability to create, update and maintain computer spreadsheets with complex formulas and pivot tables.
• Successful completion of a Level II Background Screening and due diligence process.

 

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference given to applicants who possess the following:

• Knowledge of the state FLAIR system.
• Knowledge of governmental accounting
• Knowledge of state accounting principles, practices, and procedures.  
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and convey ideas both verbally and in writing.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This is a professional budget position within the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs requiring the exercise of independent judgment in the performance of duties work.  The position is assigned to the agency Budget Analyst Supervisor-C.
