Park Operations Dispatcher (Adventure Island - Tampa)

What you get to do:

• Completion and maintenance of various logs including but not limited to employee call-ins, ride status, alarm, first aid, weather and aquatics rescue response logs.
• Initiation, direction and facilitation of voice (radio, intercom, telephone) communication and associated duties, including the dispatch of security, medical emergency, weather shutdowns and rescue responses.
• Demonstrate ownership of responsibilities by acting with integrity and professionalism and by making educated decisions with a sense of urgency.
• Monitor video camera feeds and alarm pedals.
• Create an inspiring and collaborative environment among all department and levels of management while always displaying a positive and neutral demeanor
• Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests
• Perform other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of computers and applicable software i.e., MS Excel, Word, and Power Point.
• Thorough comprehension of Adventure Island Park operation and geography.
• Demonstrate ability to manage several duties simultaneously and maintain control at all times.
• Must have excellent communication skills both oral and written. Comfortable speaking with all levels of management.
• Ability to work and communicate within a team environment.
• Flexible schedule including morning, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of policies and standard operating procedures.
• Strong guest relations skills.

What else is important:

• Able to lift, push, pull and/or carry loads of up to 10 pounds on occasional basis, as well as, sit for long periods of time.
• Perform tasks that require occasional; bending from waist to floor, kneeling and squatting, and reaching overhead
• Position will perform frequent simple hand grasping and fine manipulation (use of keyboard/writing) work
• Able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat
